My name is Liv Speck! I’m from Gaithersburg, Maryland, which is about 20 minutes outside of DC. I grew up with a high school drama teacher for a mom, a librarian/archivist for a dad, and an NBA-obsessed younger sibling. I found a passion for theatre very quickly when I was two years old playing Woodstock in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown and tried to throw myself into the orchestra pit. Since then I have played roles ranging from a balding, old sailor to Marie Antoinette. I love to keep pushing the envelope and seeing how far I can go. I was also a band kid growing up! I can play any brass instrument you put in front of me. But if you want the most pleasant sound for your ears, I suggest giving me a French Horn as I have played it for over a decade. If you want to have your ear talked off, ask me about John Williams’ horn parts. Or, ask me about Music Theory and transposition. I additionally dabble in composition! I have made multiple compositions for Shakespeare songs and some original work.
Besides theatre and music, I love playing video games for hours on end. I plan to get into voiceover work so I can fulfill my dream of being silly with just my voice and get a digital “costume” of sorts. I am fascinated by true crime. In an alternate reality I am a criminal defense attorney who goes on to work with The Innocence Project, fighting to get wrongfully convicted individuals out of prison and fully exonerated.
But in this universe, I opted to instead be a goofball for a living, playing important roles, such as the abusive mother to an everything bagel baby (see my reels page). Someday I plan to be a working actor and to be a loving mother to a kitty cat...or two...or five.
A story of a mother who gives birth to a bagel...and chaos ensues
